Yes I agree. I don think Ramsay street accurately reflects Australian society and the type of people that would be living in that sort of neighbourhood. The people are mostly middle class that you mentioned so it is likely a school principal and lawyer may live there, but perhaps not a millionaire. But hey, it a TV program.
They're considered working class? They live in f*cking mansions.
Edit: Alright maybe they're not mansions but a working class family would not be living in a detached 4 bedroom house, would they?
